Unit requirements: below 50dB (A) measured at 1 m distance with fan full working. Lights in a trailer work on 12 volts DC not 110 AC. Nominal ambient temperature: 25☌ Operating Ambient Temperature range: -10☌ to40☌ (On the heat sink of DC-DC part, if the temperature is over 90 'C, the Charger Current will be derate to 50% : if the temperature is over 105 C, the Unit will be shut down.) Home > TRAVEL TRAILER, 5th WHEEL & TRUCK CAMPER FORUMS > 5th Wheel Discussion. The battery temperature sensor allows the charge controller to continuously adjust charge voltage / charge current based on actual battery temperature. When the battery temperature is over 40 ☌, unit will reduce the charging voltage to Float voltage, also it will reduce the Max charging current by 10% with every two degree of temperature rise. When the battery temperature is over 50 ☌,unit will shut down. Unit will restart when environment temperature cools to 95 ☌. Based on these measurements, unit will shut down if the temperature exceeds 105☌. The internal temperatures of the charger will be measured by NTC. Vcharging (target) + 1,0Vdc/1.5Vdc/2.0Vdc/2.5Vdc for more than 2 seconds unit will restart when voltage <= Vcharging (target) for more than 2 seconds. And the refrigerator replacement only took one day at Mike’s.90-184Vac automatically derates to 50% of current Settings.ħ0-96Vac automatically derates to 50% of current Settinqs. Mine was the second Oliver they’d worked on. Mikes is an authorized service center for just about everything in the RV industry. How could the both factory QC checks and delivery prep miss that the refrigerator was DOA? I had places to be and was so ticked off at Oliver for delivering a unit with a totally dead refrigerator, killing two days at a hotel in Hohenwald was unacceptable. I called Mikes LP from the parking lot in Hohenwald, made an appointment, and hit the road back to Minnesota without a working refrigerator on my brand new travel trailer.

Oliver wanted (and got) a full day for issue diagnosis from me, plus they wanted me to stay at least another two days to get the replacement unit installed. Mike’s replaced the refrigerator on my EII when Oliver sold it to me with a unit that was dead on initial delivery. I teach high school in the area and two of their boys spent a considerable amount of time in my shop. Don’t expect anything corporate about them. I live in the Minneapolis MN area and gladly welcome all recommendations for a good RV repair shop. If the problem is repeatable in your driveway, then that’s probably not the case though.ĭo you have an inverter? If so, I guess that’s another possibility and you might try unplugging that before you disconnect. I guess another thought is that the breaker is bad, and maybe vibrating open when you’re traveling. Otherwise, it would take a bit for it to trip.

And if your breaker is tripping immediately, then it has to be a pretty big surge of power that’s doing it. I still think that the fridge is the most likely culprit, since there isn’t anything else that would ask for more power when you unplug. So, in other words, your charger is converting when you’re plugged rather than when you’re not, and there isn’t really a ‘switch’ that changes you from 120 to 12 v. Part of that power will go to the batteries to charge them and part will be used by your lights, etc.

Uses a custom charging profile for lithium and multistage charging for lead acid. What happens is that when you’re on shore power, the charger converts some of the 120 power to 12 volt and adds that to the 12 v ‘pool’. I have a 30amp travel trailer I just add a 100AH lithium battery. Just for clarity, your DC circuit is always DC even when you’re plugged in.
AC TO DC CONVERTER FOR TRAVEL TRAILER GENERATOR
Using the AC output of the generator to charge through the campers converter. It will read 14.4 or something close to that when you first plug in, and usually 13 something when you unplug. AC outlet and the AC to DC converter in the trailer.

If it goes up when you plug in, then it’s working. The way to tell if your charger is working is by checking the voltage on the battery monitor.
